With the release of High Sierra (OS X version 10.13), Apple is no longer distributing the 'Legacy Java' needed to run Desktop PMS. There will be an error presented at launch and you need to click the 'More Info' button to be taken to Apple's web page at: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US where the Java Runtime Ver 6 can be dowloaded. Do this and you will be installing the 'legacy' Ver 6 Java run time' which will allow Desktop PMS to run as normal.
