Why Do My Receipts Want to Deduct the Agent Commission?When you enter a Receipt from a booking associated with an Agent, the Receipt allows you to PAY NOW or SUBTRACT the commission owed to the Agent. The BookingCenter system then allows you to Pay the Agent - and keep a record of those payments - via the Agent menu. Look at your Parameters | System Configurations . If COMMISSIONS PAID is chosen, then the receipts will try and deduct the commission from the Total Outstanding Due. It is unlikely most N American properties want use this "SUBTRACT the Commission" for an Agent, as it is standard in some countries where Agents provide vouchers. Keep an eye out when issuing a Receipt to not place any value in that field. | |
