How do I connect a credit card swiper or POS Printer?

If your credit card swiper isn’t working as it used to, or as the video in your MyCard series shows it’s supposed to work (here), then it may be problematic and you need to replace it.

The best way to see if it’s working is to simply open Text Edit (Mac) or Notepad (Windows) and swipe a card with the cursor open in a text window. Does data come in and parse?  If it does, then the swiper is working to inout to your PC/Mac.

Next, try the same swiper in your BookingCenter ‘credit card number’ field, and then remember to TAB out of that field (it’s the tab that ‘parses’ the data). Does it work?  If not, try to restart the browser or even try a different web browser.

If these steps don’t work, it's likely that you card swiper has reached the end of its life and you need to contact BookingCenter to get another one.  Just let us know which color - beige or black - and we can usually have one to you in 2 days.
