Preparing for a Remote Training on MyPMS
Posted by Jeff Tweddale on 30 Aug 2021 02:06 PM

We wish to start by helping you transfer existing folios or stay overs so the system is ready for hose one(s) we know about pre-training.  Please refer to this KB article:

I suggest we handle the folio transfers prior to training if possible.  Plan on 20 minutes to complete depending on the number of stay overs.

If you want to access the software on Tablets prior to the training, simply use the built in web browser on the tablet - we can show you how to make the Bookmark an Icon on the iPad/Android device.  There is no special software to download on mobile devices, so this step should take no time to complete.

Below is an outline you can refer to for training.  It doesn’t have to be in this exact order, as questions arise or emphasis might shift.  For instance, Setup area training will be reserved for Managers.

1. Prepare the MyPMS Training Manual

Click this link : to experience the MyPMS Training Guide.  Use this for quickly getting up to speed on the MyPMS system - it's designed to train staff on basic operations.

2. Login to the ‘instant demo' system of MyPMS here

Just click the ’Start Instant Demo’ button to begin.

3. Learn by Experience

It is important to actually make bookings and cancel them to get the 'experience' of using the system prior to going live with your own data.   The login info above is demo data and there is NO harm in making bookings and then canceling them, it is OK to learn this way.  In fact, using it hard is what teaches you they best lesson - you can not hurt the system :-)
