GDS | Mr and Mrs Smith Rate Issues

We have noticed a few key occurrences where your rates on the Mr and Mrs Smith retail site may appear to be incorrect or not matching within MyPMS.
This is likely due to three key factors that are specific to Mr and Mrs Smith and are as follows:

  1. The site displays various currencies,
  2. The site allows you to change between tax inclusive and tax exclusive, and
  3. The site will sometimes display rates above the standard (double) occupancy.
    1. For example, when searching for Room Type ABC, the site will display 4 guests; where the standard occupancy is 2, but can accommodate four. When it does this, the rate will show the total for all four guests (your base double occupancy price + the additional fee for each guest).

In summary, we have found that many sites selling on Mr and Mrs Smith in Europe are sending rates in Euros with ‘tax included’. As such, if you are searching for the property on the Mr and Mrs Smith retail site, be sure to check currency as Euros with ‘tax included’. When you do this, you will see the correct rates.
