Booking.com Direct | Discrepancy with booking times
Posted by Rebecca Mealer on 24 Nov 2014 05:37 PM

Why is there a discrepancy between the reservations created time as displayed in MyPMS and the Booking.com Extranet?

If you are a Booking.com OTA Contract Rate property that is interfacing with BookingCenter's PMS software, you may see that there is a discrepancy between the date and time a reservation listed as created in the Booking.com extranet compared to the created time on the reservation in your PMS system.

Booking.com's central headquarters are in Amsterdam, therefore their whole system is based on Universal Time Clock (UTC) + 1 and they use that datetime stamp when listing a bookings creation date.

When the booking is then downloaded into your PMS system, the created entry in the log tab of the booking is automatically translated into your property's local time zone which follows our date and time display standards.

The created date and time as displayed in the log tab of the booking is the accurate date & time when the booking was created.
