Are there alternatives to email?SMS (Simple Messaging System) Module Email simply is not what it used to be. Spammers have made the guarantee of receiving notifications via email difficult. And, fax is never mission-critical. To make sure you receive notifications of new, modified, and cancelled booking notifications - sent as text messages to your mobile phone - sign up for BookingCenter SMS notification service. This is the only guaranteed notification system any longer. You can customize your settings to be notified for only the actions you desire, such as a new or modified GDS and/or web site bookings. Pricing The SMS module is $10 per month for all customers. Then, each message is charged at .10 per message for delivery to a USA-based mobile phone or .20 per message for delivery to a non USA-based mobile phone. The SMS Module is optional to the Desktop PMS, MyPMS, or Management Tool. It can be purchased by calling +1-707-874-3922 x 201 or email sales@bookingcenter.com. Overview The SMS Booking Notification Module displays details about the Guest, Rooms, Rate, etc., as well as a financial summary of the booking. There are two ways to customize your SMS Booking Notification settings, depending on which BookingCenter software tool you use. 1. Desktop PMS After purchasing, go under Parameters > Internet Configuration and Add your mobile phone number, including the number "1" plus area code and choose your SMS Options. Then alert the System be doing an "Upload All Info" from the Internet Configuration window. 2. MyPMS and Management Tool After purchasing, login to your Members Area and go to Settings|Booking Engine Settings and add your mobile phone #, including the number "1" plus area code and choose your SMS Options. Your settings will be activated automatically. The SMS Module is OPTIONAL to the Destop PMS, MyPMS, or Management Tool.
