Tax Exempt From Only One Tax and Not Other Taxes

MyPMS doesn't allow the removal of one tax via the 'tax exempt' feature and not remove all taxes associated with the Charge item posted.

One way to deal with a situation where a guest (say, a federal worker who claims they are tax-exempt from sales tax but NOT from lodging tax, for example) is to remove both taxes via the Tax Exempt feature and then manually make a Charge for 'Tax Adjustment' to the Folio and a description describing what is being done - such as "Fed worker claims tax-exempt from sales tax but NOT from lodging tax". The amount posted to the folio for the Charge for 'Tax Adjustment' will need to be manually calculated by a staff member.

This approach allows a work-around for these rare situations.
