Error when applying Visa Payments that exceed the authorized amount

If you are a user of the MyCard payment system and receive an error when trying to 'Apply Payment' to a folio using a Visa card, then you have encountered a bug in our recent change to the 'Increment Auth' feature available to Visa cards.

The feature is intended to increment an auth when a request for a payment to a Visa card exceeds the original auth amount. Note, under normal conditions the MyCard system has authorized the amount that ought to be charged, so this should occur only in rare situations where the stay has lengthened or purchases were made that exceed the original authorized projected amount.

Until this is working properly again, the work around is to go to 'Manage Credit Cards' and click 'Modify Auth' on the Visa card you were denied payments for, place a new amount in the 'Auth Amount' that exceeds the amount being requested for the folio, and click 'Authorize'.

If the authorization fails, then use a different card, as this particular Visa has reached it's limit.
