MyPMS can be set to proceed each night with an Auto Night Audit which will forward your System Date at the time you set in your local time in the Setup | PMS | Setup area. This would also be the time Auto Night Audit would initiate the 'Settle credit cards' if you are using our payment gateway solution and using 'Traditional MyCard' (note, EMV devices cant be auto-batched via the Auto Night Audit process as they are local machines on your network and require input from a local user to do so). • If your site is set up to use the Traditonal MyCard credit card payment gateway, then pending credit cards will be settled automatically. • The System Date is always incremented at the setting you chose in your local time. • Only when your property is set to 'Auto Night Audit' (and only BookingCenter staff can do this) can a user alter the System Date. Traditional users of Night Audit do not need to worry about the 'System Date' integrity. • If using a Self Checkin Kiosk, and offering a 'Book Now' capability to Kiosk users, it is important that the time you choose for 'auto night audit' meets the goals of your arrivals. For example, if you set Auto Night Audit at 1 am, then a Kiosk user wouldn't be able to 'book' after 1 am for that night's stay. Read about this further in the Self Checkin documentation. | |
