Connecting to my network over the internet (away from the property)

Unless you are connected to the actual property network (ie, you can 'see' the front desk PC via 'network neighborhood' or via Apple's 'Connect to Server'), you won't be able to connect to your BookingCenter datafile directly.

If you are using the BookingCenter Booking Engine or Central Reservation Service, then many features are available via the Members Area ( for remote use. However, this is not a true 'pms', as it is intended for basic booking and marketing management only. The best way to access a Property Management System remotely is it use MyPMS, our web-based solution. Any Desktop user can upgrade to MyPMS and all data migrates over seamlessly with access 24 x 7 from any internet device. Get details on MyPMS at: or call us at +1-707-874-3922 ext 201 to upgrade now.

To literally connect remotely to your Desktop PC or Mac, take a look at LogMeIN (, PCAnywhere ( , or Apple's Remote Desktop ( - all of these products allow you to connect to your network, while away at a different location, via the internet. These can be tested for free, and if the speed is adequate for your needs, are quite a decent solution for remote connection to your 'Front Desk' while away.
