Booking or Guest Records Don't Advance - Bookings Don't Save



There are times when bookings will no longer save. When this happens, look under your Parameters | System Configuration and look to see what number you have the "Next Guest" and 'Next Booking" set for. If this number is set, for example, to 100 but you imported a Guest database from another program into BookingCenter and those numbers start from 1000-5000, then BookingCenter will err when assigning new guest numbers after Guest ID 999.

The solution? In the above example, place the number 2001 in the "Next Guest" and all will work again. BookingCenter will advance the Guest ID numbers.

The same occurs for Booking ID. If this number is set, for example, to 100 but you manually edit or enter Booking IDs into BookingCenter and the 'Next Booking' number start from 1000-5000, then BookingCenter will err when assigning new Booking numbers after Booking ID 999.
