Authenticating Users at Login and using Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
Posted by Jeff Tweddale on 22 Dec 2025 02:56 PM

When a user logs into the PMS, https://mypms.bookingcenter.com, your browser should offer to 'save the User ID' so that you can save the ID and password and not have to enter it in each login.  This is convenient.  We do this via saving a cookie for the browser and noting the device. After 30 days, or if the device address expires, the cookie wants to be saved afresh.  Saving the cookie gets you another 30 days.

If the User logs in from another device, then an email will be sent to that User's email on file notifying them of a new login via a new device.  This allows the User to analyze if their account was hacked, and alter the password or User settings to be more restrictive.
