What Happens if I Change my Property Name?Whenever a property who is listed in various OTA and GDS channels decides to change their name, there are a number of ramifications, so plan accordingly. • define a date when the name change will be official with the local tax and business officials in your area. • On that date, place a ticket into the Support Area, and BookingCenter staff will push through the distriution channel and update the sites that are listing your property. An update to a property name will NOT happen automatically. Let us know when the change has taken place and we'll do what we can to make it easy for you. • A name change will take a while to work through the internet - and some sites will never update it - but all the important OTA sites will. • Consider sending some Letter to all guests who have booked future reservations under the old name to let them know their bookings are being honored, but with a new name on the property | |
