How do I get onto Google's Hotel Finder

Google launched the Hotel Finder to the public in July, 2012 and we get asked how to get onto it. You will need to create a Google+ Local listing for your property and get at least one room listed on a major OTA (Expedia, Travelocity, etc which are all part of our Global Booking Network) and then the HotelFinder will pick you up.

There is no direct API yet for BookingCenter to write directly into HotelFinder, but there is reputably one being developed for a select, beta group.

As this develops, we'll try to interface directly to Google. However, as the major OTAs are big adword customers of Google's they may make that interface difficult, in order to maintain the booking to the OTAs. It's already clear that one can buy hotel placement in Hotel Finder for a price. The best advice is to get that Google+ Local listing for your property and join the Global Booking Networks.

It's a developing story...stay tuned!
