How Do I Fix Weird Fonts (type faces) on My Macintosh or Windows PC?

Desktop PMS uses the following fonts, and they must be active on your Mac or PC to get the program to look properly. Both ship with each copy of the Windows and Mac OS, but sometimes users delete them or turn them off. They need to be active for Desktop PMS to 'look right'.

Macintosh = Lucida Grande. If you do not have this font, download it for free from: http://www.osx-e.com/downloads/misc/macfonts.html

Windows = Ms Sans Serif. If you do not have this font, download it for free from: http://www.ascendercorp.com/msfonts/ms_sans.html

Once the fonts are installed correctly, quit BookingCenter, restart, and all ought to look normal once again.

If the fonts are installed and working correctly, it is possible the issue is with a Windows setting. How Do I Fix Truncated Fonts (type faces) on My Windows PC?
Many times Windows PCs ship from the factory with Larger than normal Font and DPI size settings. This can cause type fonts to be Truncated in the BookingCenter Desktop software. Please follow these steps to change your font settings back to Normal.

To get to Display Properties on your Windows PC:
1. Right Click anywhere on the Desktop Screen (wallpaper)
2. Select "Properties" in the drop-down menu
3. Click on Settings Tab>> Advanced Button>> General Tab. Make sure that the dpi setting is Set to "Normal" size. Click OK.
4. Click on the Appearance Tab. Make sure that the Font Size is set to "Normal". Click OK.

Once the fonts are set correctly, quit BookingCenter, restart the PC, and all ought to look normal once again.
